Description

Tasting Note: Fleshy and charming, the 2019 Fixin Village offers up aromas of cherries, cassis and plums. Medium to full-bodied, melting and fruit-driven, it's generous and expressive.

The Winery

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, established in Vosne-Romanée since 1620, is an eight-generation family estate spanning approximately 30 hectares across 35 appellations. They produce primarily red wines from Pinot Noir and white wines from Chardonnay, adhering to traditional Burgundian methods. Vincent Mongeard, the current winemaker, employs careful vinification techniques, including mostly destemming (except for Richebourg, where one-third of the stems are retained), and moderate sulfuring to preserve the wines.
