商品描述

Tasting Note: A classic, modern expression of Barsac. The nose is a vibrant bouquet of fresh apricot, white peach, and honeyed lemon zest, with a classic waft of orange blossom. On the palate, it is lush and honeyed but remains beautifully fresh and precise due to its razor-sharp acidity. Flavors of ripe pineapple, candied ginger, and a hint of saffron lead to a long, clean, and mineral-driven finish.


The Winery

Château Coutet is a classed growth in the south of the Barsac appellation, owned by the Baly family since the 1970s. The vineyards are planted with a traditional mix of Sémillon (75%), Sauvignon Blanc (23%) and Muscadelle (2%). Fermentation is in oak barrels and the wine is aged in oak for a further 18 months. Coutet consistently make one of the best Sauternes - a wine of honeyed richness combined with fresh acidity that ages beautifully.
