Tasting Note:There is a certain bashfulness on the nose of the 2012 Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru La Riotte at the moment, although the palate is nicely configured with a keen thread of acidity cutting through the citrus-fresh red berry fruit. There is not a huge depth here and yes, the finish is a little austere at the moment, but it will repay another 3 or 4 years in the cellar. This is turning out to be one of Laurent and Hubert's more cerebral offerings this vintage.
