Tasting Note: A very fresh, pretty and layered nose offers up its notes of both red and dark currant, earth and soft spice wisps. The delicious middle weight flavors possess a beguiling sense of vibrancy while displaying fine length and depth on the balanced finish. This isn’t elegant but it is refreshing.


The Winery
Coquard-Loison-Fleurot, a Flagey-Échezeaux estate with holdings in six Grand Crus, began bottling its own wines in 2010 under winemaker Thomas Colladot and director Claire Fleurot. Employing traditional methods, they produce pure, elegant wines distinct from their similarly-styled neighbor, Domaine Sylvain Cathiard.
