Tasting Note: Sourced from a single block of Grenache vines on an east-facing slope at Moppa, at the northernmost tip of the Barossa Valley's western edge, where thin brown loam over ancient marble and ironstone yields small-berried fruit. Whole berries retained in the ferment bring juicy red jube characters that balance the white pepper notes of an extremely cool ripening season, while basket pressing to seasoned French and American oak hogsheads for 8 months adds subtle spice and texture. On the palate, raspberry and mulberry fruits intermingle over powdery tannins, finishing bright, fresh, and delicate.
