Description

Tasting Note: 2014 Lady May begins with a dark, dusty, brooding nose with aromas of oak spices, dusty blackberry, black plum, sage and a rocky minerality. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is balanced with dusty dark red fruit essence that gives way to gripping tannins. Concluding with a long, dusty and drawn-out finish, persistent flavors of bitter dark chocolates, mature cedar and dusty black cherries continue to evolve after the wine has left the mouth.

Glenelly Estate is a wine estate in Ida's Valley, on the southern slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The red wines are made in a Bordeaux style, mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, and white wines are made from Chardonnay.

Lady May is Glenelly’s flagship estate wine. It pays tribute to the pedigree of its legendary owner, may de lencquesaing. Crafted from the best bordeaux components of 2018, it reveals rich dark berry aromas with hints of mocha and cedar on the nose.
