Tasting Note: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Mazeyres (66% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot) offers up bright redcurrant jelly and kirsch scents over a core of preserved plums, blackberry pie and mincemeat plus a touch of woodsmoke. Full-bodied with a velvety texture supporting the generous black fruit preserves, it has loads of spicy sparks on the finish.
