Tasting Note: This is aromatically similar to the straight Bourgogne if perhaps just slightly higher-toned in its fruit profile with just a bit more wood influence. There is more verve to the exceptionally rich flavors that terminate in a bitter cherry pit-inflected finale. While this is a bit woody, it's rare to see this level of richness in a wine from the Hautes-Côtes.
