Tasting Note: Ripe Merlot gives a juicy character to this rounded wine that comes from the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region. The 18th-century chateau is named after one of the lieutenants who fought with the Emperor Charlemagne. With a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg, the wine is generous and attractive. The tannins form a solid layer without impeding the fruitiness.
