It has a beautiful watermelon juice colour and a succulent nose of red cherries, rich baked apple and gentle spice, that gets you salivating even before you sip. Intense and lively on the palate with a rush of crushed red berries and red apple, it has a gentle textural rub with a super-racy, long juicy finish.
Hahndorf Hill Winery is owned and operated by Larry Jacobs and Marc Dobson. Larry is the former founder/ owner of Mulderbosch Vineyards in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Marc and Larry immigrated to Australia in 1997 and in 2002 purchased Hahndorf Hill Winery. Hahndorf Hill Winery has Germanic/Austrian varieties such as Lemberger, Trollinger, Gruner Veltliner and Blaufraukirsch. The adjacent town of Hahndorf has long been a centre for South Australia's German settlers and continues this heritage.
