Description

Intense and complex on the nose with caramelized orange peel, citrus, glazed pineapple and crushed tarragon. The palate is full with great presence, yet equally manages to retain a lively, zingy line of citrus and appealing mineral/ slate notes.

The Winery

Hahndorf Hill Winery is owned and operated by Larry Jacobs and Marc Dobson. Larry is the former founder/ owner of Mulderbosch Vineyards in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Marc and Larry immigrated to Australia in 1997 and in 2002 purchased Hahndorf Hill Winery. Hahndorf Hill Winery has Germanic/Austrian varieties such as Lemberger, Trollinger, Gruner Veltliner and Blaufraukirsch. The adjacent town of Hahndorf has long been a centre for South Australia's German settlers and continues this heritage.
