Prophet's Rock Riesling 2020

Central Otago, near the bottom of New Zealand's South Island, vies for the title of world's most southerly wine region. Vineyards cling to the sides of mountains and high above river gorges in this dramatic landscape. Pinot Noir has proven itself in this challenging terroir, and takes up nearly three-quarters of the region's vineyard area.

Considered one of the world's greatest white wine varieties, aromatic and fresh Riesling is often caught between the purity of its German iterations to the complexity of its Alsatian counterparts. But, existing worldwide in range of styles from dry to sweet, it frequently surpasses glib pronouncements at all levels.

Tasting notes: "Intense aromas of lemon, lime, and grapefruit with green, crunchy apple and hints of chamomile. The palate is lively and fresh, citrus, apple, and subtle nectarine flavours with zingy acidity and a chalky mineral note on the long, lingering finish."
