The 2012 Sicilia Maharis is a super-modern and sleek expression that bursts from the glass with baritone intensity and well-chiseled tones of blackberry, exotic spice, dark prune, smoked bacon and sweet cherry. The wine is extremely luscious and soft with a velvety, enduring texture. This is a wine of impressive pedigree and sophistication. Sicily and Syrah are a happy marriage as this wine so aptly demonstrates. - WA
