Concentrated and supple in texture, offering black cherry, cassis and violet aromas and flavors. Dense and polished, with plenty of fruit to match the firm tannins and spicy oak. Has fine length.
Emmanuel and Frederic Humbert are the fourth generation of vignerons to tend this family estate. They took over the domaine from their parents in 1989 and since then they have been quietly and steadily improving the quality of their wine. Today they produce wines which reflect their dedicated effort and experience of the past vintages. Emmanuel is the dynamic force behind this domaine: he is a thoughtful and passionate man with a great love for wine, food and rugby. Frederic is shier and more reserved. The Humbert Brothers are well connected in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, where they can count on a wealth of accumulated winemaking experience from their relations and family friends.
