Synonymous with Malbec, Mendoza is Argentina's largest wine region and its most well-known, boasting incredible vistas at the foothills of the Andes as well as a majority of the country's top wine-producing estates.
Red Bordeaux Blends are known for their powerful structure and deep flavors. Dark fruits and berries such as plum and blackcurrant are commonly used to describe the flavors of red Bordeaux, although there is an unlimited range of terms that have been ascribed to them. Tannins tend to be relatively high in these wines, giving them a firm structure.
Tasting note: "This is a full-bodied blend of 65% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, with a plush texture. The inviting nose exhibits licorice, ripe cherry, raspberry and baking spices. Firm tannins are matched by enough acidity to support the fruity palate. Hints of toasted oak, Jarilla and thyme mingle in the finish."
