Les Sorbès is a Premier Cru climat of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation in the Cote de Nuits sub-region of northern Burgundy. It is one of several vineyards that lie at the base of the Côte d'Or escarpment, below the Morey-Saint-Denis Grand Cru vineyards. Pinot Noir-based wines made in the Les Sorbès vineyards are medium-bodied with soft tannins.
The dominant red wine grape of Burgundy, Pinot Noir is now adopted and adored in wine regions all over the world. The variety's elusive charm has carried it to all manner of vineyards around the world and as of 2016, it was the sixth most-planted grape variety.
