Description

Russian River Valley, one of the United States' top-ranked wine regions, is located at the heart of Sonoma County, California. It is one of California's coolest and foggiest AVAs creating a perfect climate for producing highly acclaimed wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The dominant red wine grape of Burgundy, Pinot Noir is now adopted and adored in wine regions all over the world. The variety's elusive charm has carried it to all manner of vineyards around the world and as of 2016, it was the sixth most-planted grape variety.

The Winery

The Duncan family established Twomey Cellars in 1999, they use the same philosophy that has guided Silver Oak since its founding in 1972. Twomey's founding winemaker, Daniel Baron, developed his passion for Merlot during the early 1980s while working in Chateau Petrus and Dominus Estate.
