Sonoma Coast is one of the largest AVAs in Sonoma, California. It covers some 500,000 acres (200,000ha) of land altogether, although only a tiny portion of this is planted to vine. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay dominate the vineyards along the Sonoma Coast, making premium wines in a range of different styles.
The dominant red wine grape of Burgundy, Pinot Noir is now adopted and adored in wine regions all over the world. The variety's elusive charm has carried it to all manner of vineyards around the world and as of 2016, it was the sixth most-planted grape variety.
tasting note: "Cherry-pie aromas and vivid fruit flavors get good support from juicy acidity and light oak spices in this full-bodied, lightly tannic wine. Nuances of rhubarb and tea develop on the palate and finish, adding complexity."
Since its premier vintage of Pinot Noir in 2001, Duckhorn Wine Company? Migration has earned acclaim for a refined and compelling style of winemaking that seamlessly balances vibrancy and finesse. Defined by the idea of movement, Migration is dedicated to going beyond its original home and exploring Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from California's finest cool-climate appellations.
