Description

Tasting Note: Richly oaked aromas of maple and mocha accent earthy, rubbery berry scents. This is muscled-up and edgy on the palate, with flavors of tobacco, mocha, plum and berry fruits. A grabby, slightly collapsed finish contains earthy, savory flavor remnants.

The Winery

Remirez de Ganuza is an estate in Rioja particularly known for its flagship Reserva and Gran Reserva wines. The range-topping Remirez de Ganuza wines are sourced from vines averaging 60 years old, and may be produced as a Reserva and also as a Gran Reserva in the best years. Fincas de Ganuza is another Reserva, this time made from vines aged 25-40 years old and fermented in stainless steel.
