Description

The "21 Gables" Pinotage is matured in French, American and Hungarian barrels. The nose felt pinched at first, although it opens with aeration to reveal dark cherries, creme de cassis and violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin. This is a Pinotage with good backbone and grip, leading to a finish with broody dark berry, tarry fruit on the aftertaste. -WA
