The Bouvet was founded in 1851. Over that century, they are the largest producer of Brut representing the image of luxury and opulence. Saumur Brut was one of the first designated Appellations in Loire Valley. This Cuvee is mainly produced from Chenin Blanc varietal.
This extraordinary cuvée was bottled exactly one hundred years after the death of Etienne Bouvet, founder of the house, on 28 April 2008. It was selected from the best, most careful hand-picked Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay grapes of the year 2007 from the top positions of the AOC Saumur, produced exclusively in new barriques and also bottled only in Magnum bottles, in order to obtain the best possible quality.
