2019 is Philippes's fourth vintage of Montagny the plots, surrounding a premier cru site, were inherited from his father. He made three barrels, one of which is new oak. Pears, pastry and touch of nutmeg on nose, then almondine succulence and concentration on palate but still plenty of zippiness - oyster liquor - and unexpected coolness to the fruit.
Philippe Colin is a domaine situated in the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation of Burgundy. Founded in 2004, the domaine cultivates approximately 12 hectares (30 acres) vineyards and boasts an annual production rate of 90,000 bottles per year. The estate was originally part of Domaine Colin-Del矇ger. This domaine was previously owned by Philippe Colin's parents, but was divided equally between him and his brother Bruno upon their retirement.
