Description

As befits a wine from Pauillac, the blend here is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, creating the black curant flavors as well as dense tannins. Juicy black-fruit flavors fully integrate with the acidity of this still-youthful wine.

The Winery

Chateau Haut de la Becade is a family-owned estate that has been making wine for several generations. Pauillac is a special appellation in the Haut-Medoc region of Bordeaux that makes highly sought after wines because of their balance, finesse, and the ability to age gracefully. The estate has been owned by the Rainaud family since 1933 and is located next to the most famous Chateaux in Pauillac including Chateau Lynch Bages, Pichon Baron, and Pichon Lalande de Comtesse.
